The big news!

Ok... so it is official, and I am SUPER excited to say I am now Unitystampco.'s newest stamp artist. So, for all my scrapbook and stamper readers out there... You can now own a few of my designs in the form of a stamp. :) How nifty is that? My stamps are part of the new kit of the month for august.

I look forward to working with Angela on future designs. :) I'll be sure and keep you all updated when new ones are released!

Thanks Angela for the opportunity to call myself a stamp artist. ;) I couldnt have been "discovered" by a better company. :D

In other news: The newsletters went out today! I was really beginning to worry yesterday when it hit me that July is officially ending, and I still hadnt sent out my newsletters. Baby Journey is a joy, but I am going to blame the delay on her! ;) She sure is growing fast, Trin is warming up to her... and constantly wants to hold her. I think its sweeeeet. Jaydon is recovering from his back injury and life is slowly working into a routine... yay! :)

a new print!

Ok dokey! So here it is, the art completely inspired by a blog readers suggestion "more art with books." :) I had an idea already in my head... and went in search of the perfect quote. This one really said it all.

I really like the colors in this particular print.... it has somewhat of a barnes and noble book store-ish type feel to it I think. I actually listed it HERE a few days ago... but life has kept me from blogging about it until now. :)

Things have been just a little busy, I cant remember if I ever wrote about it or not, but my sister was also due about a month after me. Well, she had a beautiful baby boy last wednesday. They named him noah, and he is super sweet. Him and Journey are 2 and a half weeks apart. He is a big stocky baby, and we are already envisioning him being her "protector."  :)  I promise to post pictures soon, a photoshoot of the two is already in the planning stages! Aside from yet another baby added to the family, Jaydon decided to put his back out last saturday. So, I have been nursing him back to health... and taking care of a newborn, and toddler who just cant seem to get enough attention right now. :)

BUT... believe it or not, I have still managed to work on a new project, I am SUPER excited about! I was offered an amazing opportunity, and cant wait to share it with everyone... just to be safe though, I am going to wait until it has officially launched. I wouldnt want to jinx myself! In addition to this, I have 2 other collaborations with a couple different etsy sellers in the works. So, more news to come soon! Things are taking me a little longer to get rolling, but at least I AM still moving. ;)

Hope your all doing well, I have been meaning to post this picture of my grumpy owl couple from the runnybunny. I LOVE them, and have a hard time keeping them in any one location in my house, but this is where they started out, on the shelf above my bed. Before moving to the living room. :)

I really really like them, and I will most definitely be buying from her again. Well, I am signing out. Need to catch some shut eye, those middle of the night feedings really drain me! :)

Hi all! Happy monday, hope everyone had a lazy weekend. Or a super enjoyable busy one! I promised I would be back this week with a new print. I went ahead and listed the print on saturday... I guess I got a little impatient. I just figured, "hey its finished... why wait?" :)

I also have another finished print, that I actually completed before I had Journey. That print was completely inspired by a blog readers request. Upon joining the mailing list, I ask if there are any suggestions for future prints.... I promise I do listen! She had suggested more prints with books in them... I figured that was something I could handle. :) But, you'll just have to wait and see what I came up with.... aren't I such a tease!? :)

Birth Announcements listed

Hi! Just a quick note to say I just listed the birth announcements in the shop. I was able to get them photographed, the graphics created, and the listing done. ALL while the girls were sleeping. WooHoo... I am hoping I can keep coordinating their naps at the same time. It sure is nice to have some quiet. :)

I am SOO glad its friday. Jaydon is due to be home any minute, and I am looking forward to a quiet weekend at home. Hope you all have some relaxing plans as well. :)

a little update

hi everyone! Both girls are down for a nap, so I thought I would take the time to drop in and give an update on how we are all adjusting.

The last of our family left for the airport early early this morning. It feels nice to have a quiet house again, but also a little overwhelming! So, today was the first attempt at trying to get into a routine/schedule. Let me just say it needs a little work still. :) My eyes are tired, and I am in desperate need of my own nap. Which I intend to get just as soon as I am through with this post! :)

It really feels nice to have two little girls. I am really enjoying it. I cant get enough of all things girly. Here is a picture of the beginnings of Journey's wardrobe. What is a newborn to do with so many adorable dresses!? Its been fun letting her try them all out. And believe it or not... I still haven't even gone shopping for her yet. Her grandparents are already spoiling her to no end.

Today was our first official "photo shoot today. She did really good, and stayed awake through the whole thing! I was very proud of her. Of course what mother wouldn't be? :)

I also have several new sketches waiting to be digitally colored. I was fortunate enough to have family staying here and helping me adjust. They insisted I take it easy and take advantage of my help while I could. So... this allowed me time to get in some much needed therapy... I mean drawing time. :) Here is a sneak peek at one I intend to get to first...

Also- The birth announcements and moving announcements are in. I just need to find time to photograph and list the birth announcements. The moving postcards need some packaging designed first. :) So, they will have to come a little later! Anyhow, hope you all are doing well. Thank you so much for all your kind words and congrats! Nice to know so many people liked her name, I knew it would be either a love or hate thing with most people... but I have wanted to use that name for 2 years now! :)

Its a girl! ♥

Our bundle of joy has arrived, and she sure is super sweet. "Journey Lynn" joined our family July 5th. at 6:39 am. She weighed in at 7.25 lbs. and measured 20 1/4 "s long.

This is just a short post to let you know that she has arrived! We are expecting family to come in the next few days, and I will be away from the blog for awhile... spoiling and babying...But, I will try to steal away and post some more pictures soon!

 

we have moved....

well not me literally... but if you have moved recently, or are planning a move... I may be able to help you out a little in that department. :)  I ordered some 4x6 double sided (with rounded corners) moving announcements just yesterday, and I expect to have them listed in the shop sometime this month. Even though I am waiting on the cards themselves, I am already working on the listing and the packaging/graphics. So, hopefully I will not be so slack in getting them actually IN the store.... fingers crossed... :)

and here is the back. It reads " to this address please update your rolodexes" Now, it did occur to me that rolodexes probably isnt a word... but I thought it sounded kind of cute anyhow. So, there you have the sneak peek to another "soon to be in the shop." I may package these a little differently then my other postcards. I havent quite decided yet.... but I am having a ton of super cute ideas pop into my head. I just need to keep telling myself... keep it cost effective. I am always having to remind myself that people do not generally want to pay for the packaging, but for the product. ;)

Also, an update on the birth announcements. They are expected to arrive via UPS next tuesday. It would be really nice if they came a little sooner... but I doubt that will happen. Especially with the 4th of July and a weekend falling between now and then. Well- there you have it, a new product, and an update on a new product. :) Hope everyone is planning to have a nice 4th of July tomorrow... and that the weather cooperates!

Another new print...

"It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home" (author unknown) I came across this quote the other day, and loved it so much. I knew I needed to create a print for it, and that it needed to have a heart on the front door, and hearts as the foundation. It turned out a bit more woodsy like then I had originally planned, but I guess a little variation in my shop cant hurt, right? :)

I listed it early this morning.... right HERE. :) Here is a detail shot of the house, and the pine trees. Hope you all enjoy it!

I am also working on another project... moving announcements. I have had the idea in my head for awhile now, but finally have it sketched, colored... and yep... even ordered, as of 5 minutes ago. So, I expect to have them listed sometime in the middle of july. With the 4th of July being tomorrow, then a weekend the printing/shipping will be slowed down just a little. Anyhow, I will give you all a sneak peek at the design tomorrow. :) Well, I am headed out for a walk with trin and my mom... in the super hot weather... fun, fun. :)

laundry room art

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. It was super hot here... and muggy. Yesterday it even got up to 105. Of course I stayed in, so the heat had little effect on me. BUT, my husband, dad, and brother in law all work in construction, so they definitely noticed it! Today is supposed to be a little cooler... we'll see. :)

I may be a little crazy for creating art for ones laundry room... but I have been day dreaming ideas for the hopeful eventual finish of my own laundry room.  Which had me really inspired to create a couple prints that I would like to use. If and when someday, we finally sheetrock and paint my corner of the laundry room, these are the colors I would like to incorporate. Remember me telling you that Jaydon had agreed to let me paint the utility room yellow? Well, I am holding him to that, and yellow was of course the inspiration for the color direction of this print. I also want pink. I mean, what girl deeeeep down doesnt want to somehow incorporate pink into her decor, and then there is the addition of black and white. The colors were actually really inspired by these pillows I seen on decor8... the color is yummy, cheerful, and very spring-ish. Holly says they are from etoile. They appear to have a really nice collection on their website. Very nice eye candy. :)

After browsing flickr for some more laundry room organizing ideas, I came across this super sweet one from LaBelle Avenue's photostream. I mean... HOW cute is having a little jar displayed to collect those stray buttons? I think its super adorable. Some day, I will have my own stray button jar. :)

Also, how are these laundry rooms for inspiration? I get the urge to do laundry by just looking at ithem, and trust me... that is no small feat. :)

All the shelving is available through the container store, and I would love to be able to afford it all! :) Wouldnt that be nice?

These prints are also available in a print set, to once again save you a little money. Although, I still need to list the print set sometime today.

I plan to post pictures of the bathroom a little later today. My linen closet is almost ready to be painted! Hopefully the shelves will be installed by monday. So, I can finally get my towels and sheets out of my kitchen. :)
