Hello! I was so glad to hear that my last "room design" was one you guys liked! :) I had asked if anyone had any print suggestions to consider for the future. Lyndsey (author of a greatfull day) suggested the new xOxO and Love prints. These were designed to be used in a kitchen, so that of course required a kitchen design. :) Which turned out to be equally fun! What do you think? I wasnt 100% sure if the kitchen towels (j) worked, but I added them anyhow. What are your thoughts? Too much pattern? Too bold?

Of course the kitchen aid is a HUGE percentage of that total. :) I threw it in for fun. I got one for Christmas 2 years ago, and love it. I'd been wanting one ever since we got married, but it took a few years to be able to justify it. :)

This one is definitely a thinker! :) Sometimes I think I have unrealistic expectations for my hubby. Its good to think of his as superman right? I mean, hand him a honey do list a mile long and he SHOULD be able to get it all done in less then an hour?  Right? :)

Hello! I hope you had a nice weekend. :) We went out for lunch/dinner with some friends at our local mexican restaurant.  yummmy. As weird as I may seem, I absolutely love the enchilada with an egg on top. :) Its my favorite. flour shell, with shredded chicken please! :)

Anyhow, I listed the rest of the 8x10's. Once they're gone, they'll be re-listed at full price. I am still debating on whether or not to re-list a few of them. They're from an older series I did with projectgrabbag. :) I'd insert a link... but typepad is acting really weird, and my insert link buttons (along with a few others) have all dissappeared!  If there is a print you'd like, I suggest you grab it! Just a quick note to let everyone know that the 4 large 11x14's have been listed, and I'll be adding the reduced  8x10s a little later this evening.

gift wrap and a new TTV print!

I considered offering it last year, but never got around to doing so. :) This year, I made time!  You may remember my post from a month or so ago when I purchased the bakers twine and red and white tags. I have to say it was fun trying out different alternatives. I wanted to keep it simple, and sweet... but without the heart it seemed like it was missing something. :) After adding it, everything just clicked! You can check out more details here:

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. We did!  Of course I ate way too much turkey, pumpkin pie, and praline sweet potatoes. :) But thats ok, I really wouldnt want to break tradition. My Trin also had a birthday this weekend. Where does the time go? She is now officially 5 years old.

You guys are keeping me busy! My mailman has really been loving me this week. Fortunately he is very easy going and parks very near to my house. :) This pile greeted him one day last week.

I'm making a mental note, to tip him again this year! :) It is SO nice to not have to leave my house and make weekly or even daily trips to my P.O. Spoiled? I think so!

I'm really glad everyone (or almost everyone! ;) ) is taking advantage of the sales going on in the shop. Almost all of the early bird specials were gone that same day. Was I ever shocked and flattered!?

Which reminds me... I have some good news for those who missed out on the early bird specials (prints that had been pre-printed and priced at 10.00) today I stumbled across another batch of about 20 8x10's. In addition to some (about 4) 11x14's that I had completely forgotten about! They'll be offered at half price and should be listed in the shop by monday. Unfortunately these will not be eligible for the buy 2 get 1 free sale. If they go nearly as fast as the others, I would recommend checking in sunday night. I have plans that will keep me away from my computer all day monday so I wont be able to ask questions or put a hold on any prints. I'll try to let everyone know when they're up with a blog post.

I also listed  "i will be grateful" in the shop in TTV format. It was quickly becoming a favorite amongst everyone and so I decided it needed to be available in TTV. :) I love how it turned out. I experimented with some new photoshop brushes I created awhile back. It definitely gave it a slightly grungier effect. :)

Happy Holidays! We're putting our tree up tomorrow! I'm so excited, a fresh batch of fudge, and homemade marshmallows is in order. :)

Hello Black Friday, and some new art!

As you all know today marks the official start of black friday. If your braving the crowds and leaving the house, I wish you the best of luck in your bargain hunting. Be safe! :) If your like me and staying inside, browsing the internet for goodies your UPS man can drop off at your door, then you will want to stop off over at the shop and see what sales we have going on. I've changed things a little from my original plans, and am extending the sale until 12:00 monday the 30th. Hopefully this will give everyone time to take advantage of the lower prices.

PRINTS: For each 2 prints purchased you will have the option of choosing one free 20.00 print. Please do not add your free print to your shopping cart, but please do let me know in the message to seller  (upon checkout) which print you would like as your free choice. There is no limit to how many prints you can purchase. Example: If you were to purchase 4 prints, you would have two free prints to choose.

COLORING POSTERS: All 4 coloring poster styles are marked down at 3.00 a piece, and are regularly priced at 6.50. The entire set can also be purchased at a highly reduced rate of 6.00. These posters make excellent stocking stuffers. :)

I've also re-listed a bunch of prints, so you may find a few you haven't seen in quite awhile. This means I now have over 100 prints listed in the shop! :)

turn your photos into comics!

Hello! I wanted to share this really neat photoshop action I came across last week. I know that not everyone has photoshop, so I'm sorry for the teaser if you dont... But basically this action (a series of recorded steps) will comic-ize any of your photos by turning them into comics. :) I took this picture of Trin and my parent's cat as an example. Before pictures following the afters. :)

 

this cat, was purring the entire time I took these pictures. It is so lovable. Everytime we pull up at grandma's house she comes to the car looking for Trinity. :)

looking through old pictures...

and found these of the new camaro! :) These were taken at Hall's our local Chevrolet dealership. I worked there for three years, and really loved it.

I started out as the receptionist but ended up also dealing with the website, and photographing (and sometimes driving) gorgeous cars like this one. :) It was so much fun, I was defininitely a car buff before getting married. I still love them, it just seems like mommy life has me focusing on more important things. My art seems to be the only hobby I have room for at the moment. :)

 

Of course... Jaydon had to take it for a pretend spin.

Both the camaro and corvette in this one. :)

One of the salesman, was nice enough to give trinity one of the big balloons. :) She accidentally let it go a few minutes later. :P I really like the looks of the camaro... but if I had a choice I'd probably buy a new mustang. What about you?

p.s. I have some BIG news to announce later this week. I'll be announcing that secret project I've been working on. I'll also be needing somewhat of a photographer design/test team to help me try my goodies out. :) If that didnt give it away, I dont know what would! So, I'll have an official post coming up, where you can submit a link to your work/portfolio. You'll also need photoshop and basic photoshop skills. :) More to come!
