PREVIEW: New overlay set!

Hi everyone!!! I'm just stopping in to share a peek at one of the new overlay sets I have been working on. :) I have a really good group of photographers putting them to the test and working on some eye candy for you to see.... The set it called "Take Flight" and has 9 different wing overlays for you to play around with. They are very whimsical and should work with a variety of photographs... from babies to big people. :)

I am soo anxious to see what everyone does with these. I will definitely keep everyone posted. As of now, the new set is expected to be released sometime Monday. :) Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes off without a hitch. ;)

Happy Friday!! Do you have weekend plans? We will most definitely be getting together to "officially" celebrate my birthday. Instead of cake and Ice Cream I always request Fruit Pizza. It is SOOO yummy. I'll see if I can dig up the recipe to share with everyone!

It is my birthday today! I'm officially 28 now. Really hard to believe. Where does the time go!? Does anyone else have a birthday in February? I know 6 other people who share my birthday month. :)

This has absolutely nothing to do with my birthday.... but rumor has it that vol.25 may or may not be sending these suuuper cute notepads out with orders in the near future...

 I ALSO heard that the really well loved "i will be grateful for this day" print might be showing up in customers' packages as a free 4x6 sized print.

So, they are just Rumors.... but it came from a VERY good source! ;)

Really though... I decided it was time to update my customer appreciation freebies, and I think these might just do the trick! The notepads are going to be bigger then the last ones I ordered... they are sized at 4x5" :) So not so skinny and a little more square-ish.

Well, I hope everyone is having a positively perfect day. :)

overlay inspiration from everday art photography

I love this soooo much! :) As soon as I seen it added to the flickr group I knew I wanted to share it with all of you. I promise I'm not stuck in a time warp... I'm perfectly aware that Valentines Day is over... BUT I really couldn't resist sharing, it was just a really good use of the Valentines Day overlays!

I just noticed there is more suuuper cute inspiration on her blog...

So, how was your weekend? Ours was great! We celebrated Jaydon's (my hubby) birthday, went out to dinner, played a round of pictionary, and I experimented with a new waffle recipe for breakfast. Really it was super easy, I just used the krusteaz pancake mix, but followed the waffle directions, added blueberries and cubed some cream cheese. They turned out really good I think. Not nearly as good as ihop's New York Cheesecake pancakes.... but they were definitely comparable. ;)

yep, yep!! I have myself a shiny new cell phone. :) COMPLETE with a qwerty key board. Which was a definite must for me. I would like to be able to reply to e-mails easier and quicker when I am away from home, and the keyboard makes that 110% more convenient.

There are also a TON of apps available, so I'm having fun with that. I'm also supposed to be able to e-mail zip files with this phone. So If we are away from home, I can e-mail my overlays to customers. I still need to play around with it and see if it is in fact possible, but it looks like it will work. :)

So in other news... I'm excited to say I'm working on not one but TWO new sets of overlays. I'd share a sneek peek but I'm not ready enough yet.... so I'll have to leave it at that! BUT, to make up for the fact that I am leaving you hanging.... I'll share some exciting news, Wendy over at Blue Lily Photography is hosting a giveaway for your choice of any two overlay sets. She did some amazing things with the couple of sets that I sent her way.

Ok, I think this print by alicebgardens is just daaarling. I can see it looking perfectly at home in our entry way, just above our black shoe cabinets. :)  I have definitely been inspired to freshen things up a little. It would probably be cute to try and artistically capture a photo with my shoes, jaydon's, trins, and Journey's. You know.... get the whole family in? :)

As you can see in the above photo, I could use some change. :) I am officially over the green and brown color combo going on in our living room. :)

Anyhow, after a closer inspection I found several more prints by alicebgardens that I fell in love with....

I keep stumbling across so many talented photographers! It seems I am constantly being inspired. :) Who inspires you? Lets get some link love going on. :)

Hello everyone!

I hope you had an excellent Valentines Day. :) So, I think I mentioned in an earlier post that I am really wanting to make my Trinity her own little desk/craft space. I've been day dreaming ideas to give they're room a new look. I'm suuuper inspired by these light fluffy clouds.

The bookshelf is where I plan to put the desk/craft space. I've started working on a sketch and a mock up of how I'd like it to look. I just need to finish it! I can definitely say I'm enjoying the process. Do you have plans to re-do a room? I think it might be a spring cleaning thing for me?

interior design inspiration- think pink

I definitely received my dose of pink with these rooms. :) They are beyond inspiring to me... and have been in my flickr favorites for quite awhile now. I decided I really should be sharing! If you like these 2 rooms styled by Selina Lake then you'll also probably love her blog. :)

In other news, in case you are wondering... I decided to put the lace overlay set on hold. We have company staying with us for awhile. We've been having fun, and I'm looking forward to picking back up my short lived embroidery hobby! :) I've been wanting to embroider some simple cute designs on the girls' clothes for far too long... Has anyone else picked up an old hobby/craft?

hello everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. :) I'm excited to actually have a quote for you this monday. I've been doing pretty terrible at keeping up with my monday quotes, and I am going to try and put some time aside to share some projects and inspiration I've been collecting this last month. :) But... that will have to wait another week or so. I am a HUGE fan of blue lime photography, and my heart melted just a little when I seen this picture. It has such a sweet gentle feeling to it. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

I *Finally* got all my tax stuff in order, and I am so glad to check that off my long list of things to do. :) I'll be back this week with some much needed inspiration!!

interior design inspiration- fresh and fun

I seen these pictures on designsponge, and instantly fell in love with this house! The green on the walls is perfect, and I love all the bright colors thrown in for good measure. :) Definitely some good taste going on here!

The vintage letters hanging on the wall... I LOVE. I've wanted to do something similar, but I must be looking in all the wrong places, because I cant find any... and when I do they are SO expensive. :)

... I'll probably be bringing quite a bit more design inspiration to the blog. We've taken our house off the market until the market picks back up with the warmer weather. I haven't done much decorating lately, because I knew we were going to be leaving soon... but I'm getting anxious to put some of this decorating inspiration to good use! :) I'm officially over the brown and green theme we have going on in our living room. I've been SO addicted to yellow and gray and with spring coming it seems the perfect time to put it into play. Has anyone heard what the predicted color trends are for 2010? I'm seeing quite a bit of purple!

Curing the winter blues...

I have been suffering from the winter blues. I'm tired of all the foggy, dreary, drizzly, chilly, weather. I am dreaming of warm, sunny weather, complete with blue skies and lemonade stands. I stumbled across Urban Pink Photography when her print was featured on the etsy homepage. A look through her shop was like a dose of sugary sweet summer. :) I'm loving her dreamy colors and the textures and bokeh she uses. I found so many prints that I knew you guys would love to......................................................................

They definitely cured my winter blues.... :)

BTW- I completely forgot to mention that she is currently having a buy get 1 free sale in her shop! The sale ends on Friday though, so I wouldnt drag my feet. ;)

Sneak Peek- New Overlays set

 

Hello!! It is officially February, and I am SO anxious for Spring. We have had way too many gloomy overcast days for my liking. I also ended up with a cold Friday evening. We put off leaving for our trip until saturday morning, but by then it was clearly obvious that I wasnt getting any better, but worse! It felt nice knowing I had taken care of all my orders, and had the shop and e-mails on auto pilot for a few days. So, instead of leaving town we had a  long three day weekend at home. Jaydon (my hubby) was the perfect Mr. Mom he really took excellent care of me and the girls. He changed Journey's diapers (YES, he did!!) fixed meals, and tended to my whiny self. :) I owe him big... he just may end up getting his favorite dessert sometime this week. I'm feeling so much better now. I caught up on all my e-mails, sent out my orders (trying to designate Tuesday and Friday as shipping days) and I even got some much needed deep cleaning done. :)

So, on to the actual title of this post! :) I've been working on a new set of overlays that I've finally decided to call "Vintage Romance" It features lace edging, vintage doily's, and because I know so many of you liked the "he loves me so" handwritten script, I've included another  handwritten cursive script. This time in the form of a tradtional wedding vow. :) I hope you all love them! I'm juuust about ready to send them out to a couple testers, and I am pushing to have this set listed by next tuesday. Fingers crossed!! :)

This is my first set that leans more towards the graphic side, and I am really excited to hear what you all think of them. :) I'll share more later!

This last photo was taken just last weekend by my photographer buddy Kelli.

She gave me permission awhile back to play around with her photos, isnt she sweeet! :) We met up last week and went over ideas for her studio. I know I've said it before... but her studio space is SO awesome, I am really envious... it would be so much fun to have some extra money and put into the place. I keep wanting to share pictures, but you'll have to wait until I have some good afters to share too. :)
