Hello everyone!! I decided to whip up a cute header for all blog posts revolving around the motorhome. :) I've been spending tons and tons of time creating mood boards in photoshop... and I have finally decided on a general theme. I'm thinking modern woodsy or something like that. :) My main inspiration was this birch tree wallpaper from cole and son. In fact everything else was kind of planned around that wallpaper. :)
However, I am going to be either incredibly brave or equally stupid, and try to paint my own similar birch tree mural on the walls of the bedroom. Not only will it save us some money, but we are both afraid that wallpaper would be a nightmare to install in this small space... I am totally NOT above buying the wallpaper if my own work doesnt compare... and i am thinking there is a really good chance that will be the case! :) However, seeing this picture of Jen's room gave me a little boost of confidence! Maybe I could pull it off? Hers looks absolutely gorgeous!
So do you want to see what I have come up with so far? FIrst I will show you a picture of the bedroom area. I made it black and white so I could visualize better...
and here is what I am seeing take place in the space. :)

I will try to share more information on the actual items themselves in a future post. :) I have the pillows all purchased (from etsy) and also 6 of the dimmable lights. They will replace what is already up, plus 2 missing reading lamp lights in the cockpit area. :)
... and I was SUPER excited to find a place that will make slipcovers for all the cushions at an insanely reasonable price! :) The company had AMAZING reviews, so I'm not the least bit worried about fit or quality... and you cant beat that with a stick! :)
I'm still not 100% sure on what I plan to do about the curtains. I am SOO undecided. I think I need to keep them somewhat neutral because of the painted mural that will be going on the walls. I've been seeing some really neat projects using burlap, and I'm considering using it for the curtains in the bedroom area. It will have that rustic texture, and I hear that if you wash it first it does lose somewhat of its roughness. But then again, I also really want something gray for the curtains... so undecided.
We are thinking that we would like to install a waterproof vinyl plank flooring, and we both think that lighter is the way to go. I know it will show a little more dirt, but I think it will make the motorhome feel larger, and I kinda think that seeing the dirt makes it easier to clean. ;)
Honestly, I am a little overwhelmed with the motorhome. Every time I head out to measure or gain inspiration I come back inside feeling overwhelmed. I've definitely been enjoying the process of digitally deocrating... but starting the project seems impossible for some reason. It might be because we have some major things with the house planned in the next couple weeks. We're finally getting our new roof! But before that happens, we are adding a covered back patio/porch area to the the back of our house, and when they do the roof they'll do that part too. We have all the materials purchased, and were ready to start last saturday... but the rainy forecast put a wrench in those plans. We also started working on the utility room, and have some adjustments we need to make in the kitchen before my new refrigerator comes in!! :) So life has been busy, and there the motor home sits.
If it does work out though... I WILL start painting the door faces sunday afternoon! :) Wish me luck!
