Our trip turned out super nice! I took so many pictures that I'm going to break it up into 2 posts. :)
We stayed in a house in Bella Beach again. We usually stay in a new house every year, and this year was no different. We were able to have my grandma come along with us this time and that was really nice. She said it had been 15 years since she had made a trip to the Oregon Coast. :)
If you havent stayed in Bella Beach before I would HIGHLY recommend it. The houses are ADORABLE, and really help add to the saltwater and ocean breezes.
We stayed in a house called Sunset 389 and it was really nice. The main level was on the second floor which wasnt exactly ideal. But finding a house that slept 9 adults and 4 kids wasnt a walk in the park. :) This one really was our best available option. Grandma was able to sleep downstairs on a bunkbed room with Jada and Trin, my sister and her husband took a downstairs bed, and so did Jaydon and I. My brother and his wife took the upstairs bonus room that had a deep sleeper sofa. My parents had the master bedroom on the second level.
Here is a panorama shot I took with my Sony. Our house was on the right... and here is a picture of the house by itself:
a view from the second story deck:
It rained off and on the first night we were there and into the next morning. It wouldnt be a trip to the coast if it didnt rain at all right? Anyhow, that next morning we woke up early and headed out to the beach at low tide. It was drizzly and a bit on the chilly side.
My dad and Journey in pic above. Trin and her cousin Jada in the picture below:
Jada doing her "explorer pose" I'm definitely going to have to grab her for a fun photo shoot. She is totally into posing right now... :)
It started raining so we decided to head back to the house where we all changed into some dry clothes. I snapped this adorable picture of Journey and her cousin Noah (they're just 2 weeks apart)
Arent they the sweetest? Noah has the most beautiful blue eyes...
Actually Jada's are pretty spectacular as well. :)
After we lounged for a bit (absolutely NO schedule!!) we decided to head into Lincoln City in search of lunch. My sister in law had heard really great reviews on a place called The Humble Pie Pizzeria:
(never mind Journeys hat, she decided she liked wearing it backwards... talk about a fashionista)
We all agreed that the Humble Pie Pizzeria was totally cool:
Writing on the walls was allowed... they supplied chalk for the chalkboards, you could play pool for free, and they had the neatest little kid corner! Oh- and the pizza was AWESOME. I seriously took SO many pictures there, that I am going to have to devote an entire post featuring this little pizza place.
After eating we decided to walk off some of the calories at the outlet mall. This is also a yearly must do. :)
After that we ate at Mo's (one of the best seafood places in my opinion) and then headed back to the house to relax a bit. It was a super quiet and relaxing evening. We worked on a double sided star wars puzzle that was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to put together. I went to bed and left Jaydon and Jono (my brother-in-law) to finish it. They stayed up until 1:00 in the morning finishing it. Well techincally they never finished it it was missing like 5 pieces. Isnt that SO annoying!? I'm sure they would have got done MUCH quicker if I hadnt of abandoned them. I was after all contributing the most... HAH HAH...
The next morning was Mothers day!! :) It ended up being a really nice day too, but I'm saving that for part two! :) Did you have a nice Mothers Day? I'm going to try and get newsletters out tomorrow night. I'm featuring exclusive coupon discounts with the newsletters, for both my etsy and digital eye candy shop. If you havent signed up be sure and do so by tomorrow night! I'm also releasing a new set of overlays, and a couple new art prints. Stay tuned tomorrow for more details. :)
