A couple weeks ago my brother and his wife came to visit, and decided to stay outside in the motorhome. Our house is just a 2 bedroom, so we usually give up our bed to company, and we sleep in the living room on the hide-a-bed. Well, now that the motorhome is almost finished, it has been kind of nice to have somewhat of a guest house for company. :)
See, I even made a sign that said "welcome to the sportscoach, enjoy your stay love the roses" :) I guess you can say I had fun with the whole thing. :)
I was waiting to post these pictures, until I did an official post with pictures of the new curtains... but, I finally decided to just get these pictures up!! :) What do you think of the curtains? I LOVE how they turned out. The ones in the living room has just the right amount of texture... they remind me of bark on a birch tree... and you know how much I love the chevron patterned fabric.
Even though, I really dont think the pattern was straight and it made it difficult at times to work with! :) I bought roller blinds online from a company called select blinds and after cutting the fabric down, I used some strong spray adhesive and glued the fabric down.
I used roller blinds on the window above the sink and on the door window. I never did get the brand new dented vent hood sent back for replacement. Actually I never heard back from the company after one attempt at contacting, and put it off until the point that I embarrassed to call now! Jaydon doesnt want to install it with a dent... so... so far we have no vent hood. :) I'm begging him to just put it up, in my opinion it isnt that noticeable, and I feel like I got a really good deal on the thing to begin with. I guess he'll need a little more convincing... maybe some bribes consisting of biscuits and gravy? That and vanilla creme pie usually works. Will have to update you all on that. ;)
The birch trees I painted are still one of my favorite things about the motorhome, and since the entire design process was focused around that, I'm pretty glad I dont hate them! :)
I also made the felt bunting hanging above the bathroom window. I have DOZENS more triangles cut out, but sewing them by hand together is time consuming. I need to learn how to use a sewing machine!! :)
I'm planning to do an offical before and after post when we are COMPLETELY done, but gee... it sure has changed from its original seventies self. :)
:) We're planning another camping trip for this weekend. So if everything works out according to plan, I'll probably have to close up both shops, since I will be without internet access. I will keep you updated!
