Isnt she so sweet? This is my newest niece, and I'm probably a bit partial, but we sure enjoyed getting to meet her a couple weeks ago. Really, it is hard to believe that it has been that long ago. :)
I really hadnt taken a newborn's photos before. Sure, I'd snapped a few.. but never anything set up or more styled. So I wasnt too sure what to expect. I had watched a few videos that week and took notes. I downloaded a baby soother app for my smart phone, made sure there was a portable heater handy, and brought bunches of blankets. :) I was also prepared for the fact that miss lainey was in charge, and we were completely running on her schedule.
she was awake more then she was asleep. :) Which made posing her kinda hard... even though she was only 6 days old! The little booger, was definitely taking advantage of the fact that I was putting her in charge. ;) I think she was also enjoying the frequent feedings!
I had watched quite a few videos on how to wrap a baby with cheesecloth... and they all made it look so easy! So I attempted that first, and she wasnt in a deep sleep which made it nearly impossible to pull off. This was the best I could get!
I made her the headband out of yarn and embroidery thread right before leaving. I just braided them together.
We also got some pretty sweet shots of her with mommy and daddy:
I taught her how to wave for the camera... she is quite the fast learner. ;)
We started on her pictures about 4:00, and finally decided it was time to quit at 8:00 for a super late dinner! :) We had kept it really warm in the room, and we were all ready to be done with it all by that time. :)
Arent babies just the sweetest?
