Lindsey over at Pillow Thought used a few of my overlays on a recent session with her daughter... and I think the entire session turned out adorable!

The girls and I used watercolor paints and made a few heart garlands for the house. They helped me cut the hearts, and I just stapled them onto some fuzzy yarn I had on hand.
Quick and easy. Next year my craft goodies should be a little more organized. Right now my crafts are still scattered around the house. I finally convinced Jaydon to let me put these lockers in the dining area.
They are really too deep for the space.. but their functionality totally wins me over... for now. :) I do plan to paint them to give them a softer chalkier look/color.
I also put a smaller set of school lockers by our side entry door. Still trying to decide how to best utilize the space in this house. :)
I've been told (upon asking for an opinion lol) that they don't fit the style of our cabin... and I really don't think they do, yet. Eventually we would like to switch out a few of the light fixtures. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the existing fixtures... so it isnt a priority, but replacing them with a more undustrial style light should help tip the cabin to the "industrial rustic" vision I have in my head. :) One of the things that really drew us to this place was that we wouldnt need to remodel anything. We were burned out, after a super busy labor intensive summer with our past house. But changing lights is an affordable option that will help us feel like we are putting our own mark on the place. ;)

I love my cbtl Kaldi!! I use it every day, and I have had fun trying out new recipes.
When working on designs for the Valentines Overlay set, I came up with a design I'm inspired to try as a new album template. I'm anxious to start designing it... but I think I need to be getting my taxes together. ugh. I know that we could possibly be moving in within the next week (do I dare put that in writing?) and I am sure that I would be ever so grateful that I got that out of the way BEFORE moving in. One less thing to do you know?
Well, I hope your day has been spectacular! Today I am grateful for heat! My parents' propane tank quit working yesterday and they only had the heat from a couple of heaters. They have a big fifth wheel, so a couple heaters didnt keep it very warm at all in there. It randomly started working early this morning, and they found out it is the propane tank regulator. It is never boring around here! Sunday we had frozen pipes again. With all that said, I am thankful for heat and a roof over our heads! :)

Today we heard that we just *might* be given a closing date. The bank is waiting for one more thing to be sent their direction... but the big mess with the taxes has officially been taken care of! SO relieved about that. It can be hard when you feel so much is out of your own control. I've also found it is much easier to be humble in those times.
I've been busy working away on the new printable Valentines cards for 2013. (see the last 3 here) I have all 6 cards sketched, now I just need to finish coloring them in and formatting them into a pdf file. :) I also have a new Valentine's themed overlay set in the works. I hope to finish the new set sometime today, or tomorrow. :)

It is always noticeably colder in the little slide out part of this trailer. The slide out is where the table/booth is, and my monitor is on the table... so that is where I spend my time on the computer. I have on wool socks, a sweatshirt, sweatpants, and my hands are STILL cold! Ugh. It is hard to draw when you have cold hands... in fact my handwriting is also worse when my hands are cold. :) I just looked up the temp outside and it says it is 9 degrees. I wonder what the temperature is in California righ now?
Oh good... the furnace just kicked on! It must have heard/seen my typing. It is instantly feeling warmer in here. :)
Well, I'm off to heat up some warm Oatmeal! I'm a routine girl, and I have Quaker Oats Peaches and Cream oatmeal... EVERY morning. With a piece of toast. Lately I've been eating a piece of blueberry streusel toast, and it is yummy.

Yes- I actually have something NEW in the digital shop! My big work station computer has been stored at my parents house back in Prosser. It was too big to keep it in the travel trailer, and I have been using my laptop. Well, my parents went down to Prosser this last weekend and brought it back, along with my widescreen monitor- oh how I've missed them! We are hoping we shouldnt be in this trailer too much longer, so we can deal with the size for the short time... I really needed/wanted to get back to designing goodies.
My wide format printer is still back in Prosser, and my supplies are in storage, so I wont be able to open up my etsy shop just yet... but it sure felt good to work on this new overlay set! :) A facebook fan suggested a Peace and Love overlay set- and well... I was definitely inspired. :)

I have a new respect for people who have to move fairly often. I honestly don't know how they do it. Having your lives turned upside down can be so very unsettling. Throw kids into the mix, and things get a whole lot more complicated. :) I think part of it is my own fault, we have lived our life fairly routine. For the kids, nap time, snack time and bed time are almost always right on time. I wish I was a little more spontaneous, if I have the choice though... I'm going to plan as much as I can... and then have a back up plan. ;)

I am incredibly grateful that we are in a position to purchase another house. I'm also thankful that our house sold quickly... and to the first people who looked at it. I didnt need to worry about a bunch of showings... because that is never fun... especially with kids. :)
It has been a little stressful these past few months, but we have an estimated closing date on our new place for the 19th of December. Fingers crossed we can make that date! The cabin itself isnt real big. I feel like we sacrificied a little on space, but gained so much more. When you are out there on the property it just feels so quiet and peaceful. We can always do an addition at a later time... but the location is key for us.
A few weeks ago I realized that I didnt have a cabin included in the Wherever We Are Together Series... so I created this little guy. I havent wanted to show a picture of the cabin we're buying... because it seemed too premature... but this guy looks quite a bit like our soon to be new place! I meant to post him on the blog... but kept forgetting. :) He is available in the shop right here.
I have a board over on Pinterest filled with ideas for the cabin. We're leaning towards an industrial rustic cabin style. Warm and cozy with lots of industrial pieces thrown in for good measure. :)
What do you think? I cannot wait to show you guys more pictures!! I've been so excited to share my decorating plans... Jaydon can only handle so much. ;)

This morning I sat down with my handy dandy calendar and actually took the time to fill out the month of November. It felt good to have it all down on paper... but it was also a little overwhelming! :) At any rate, after going over things I decided that there was just no way I could squeeze in a regular Black Friday sale the day after Thanksgiving. Well I couldnt do it and stay sane that is! So, upon reviewing other weeks, I decided that the 1st of November would work best for me. So I worked hard all day on the graphics, and wording... crunched dates and launched the sale a couple of hours before running out the door with Sleeping Beauty and an asian Princess in search of Candy. :)
