So, we took the Land Cruisers camping over the weekend. I know none of you will probably notice, but the picture above is Jaydon's landcruiser... and he has a new camo paint job! :) Woohoo, it isnt completely primer grey anymore... ;) The guys really wanted to take us up to see the moon rocks (basically a rocky playground for offroad vehicles) they promised we wouldnt take any rough trails. The picture below is proof that they held up they're end of the bargain... the girls slept a good part of the way up the trail. :)
although they were awake at times, and were able to appreciate the scenery. :)
My brother and his wife made the 7 hour drive to go camping with us... which made camping more fun! :) Roman got to drive his Land Cruiser on a trail for the first time, and it did SUPER well!
I played with my fish eye lens, and also experimented with my lensbaby. :) It was fun... there is definitely a learning curve to it! But fun nonetheless... :)
It was SO windy at the moonrocks... really a cool place, and it would have been nice to stay up there longer taking pictures, but the wind was really blowing the dust around, and it was a bit on the chilly side... if you look really close, you can see a crazy person trying to roll his vehicle... and a bunch of people cheering him on. Silly I tell you. :)
After we got to the moonrocks we ate a picnic lunch. YUMMY!
We bought a new tent from WalMart, and it was really nice to have a new clean tent. :) It was priced super affordable for the size. We bought it for 118, but it looks like walmart just reduced the price to under 90... figures. ;)
We had two queen size mattresses inside, one on each side, and still had plenty of room for luggage. :)
The first day there, we seen SO many butterflies!! This little guy was inspecting our sleeping quarters.
Trinity got in some serious drawing time... and I was a little bit envious. Although I did enjoy doing nothing while constantly keeping an eye on the kiddos.... :)
whew! Told you there were a ton of pictures... and I still have the fun ones I took of the girls that I need to edit. I'm trying really hard to work into a new schedule with Trin starting school, but I think I am desperately failing. Journey is waking up at 6:30 now! She used to sleep in until 8:00, so that has been a change... we also converted her crib to a toddler bed, so thats been different. She stays in it just the same, and even announces when she wakes, and waits for permission before she crawls out of bed. It is super cute... I'll have to post pictures, they're room has changed so much! :)
Second day of school was a little easier for me, but I still miss her being home so bad... I dread having to send her out when the weather gets colder. I keep telling myself that rather then be sad she's old enough to start school, I need to look ahead to all the new memories and experiences coming up. So far it seems easier said then done! ;) Any tips on coping, and making the transition easier? I'm all ears!
