Good afternoon everyone! :) How was your weekend? I photographed another wedding for a friend on saturday. It went really well and the wedding was beautiful, but I honestly do not know how you professional photographers do one every weekend. By the end of the day I am mentally and physically exhausted. Burnt. out. :) It seems like it takes me a couple days to recoop. I guess in some ways if I photographed weddings on more of a regular basis I would have a more reliable system in place and probably wouldnt stress as much about the small things? It doesnt really help that every wedding I've done has been for friends, so my kiddos come along as well, and usually Jaydon tries to tend to them all day... needless to say I still worry about them.
I think the part that stresses me out the most, is the formal group pictures after the wedding. I've decided that the next time I'm going to have a detailed list of all the names of each person expected to be in the photo... that way I can say is "grandma edna here? Grandpa bob? Uncle Tom?" Plus I can give the list to whomever is sweet enough to run after people for me. :) I think it will just make me a feel a little more in control. :)
Anyhow... the wedding went well, and I have over 1,200 pictures to go through. :) I still need to post pictures from my sister in laws wedding! Geesh... I've been busy. :) But there is no excuse for making you guys wait that long to see them... since I know your really just dying to see 'em! ;)
Last night I went outside and started working on my garden. I got such a late start this year. Since we were working on the motorhome and taking trips out to OK, I still havent planted a single thing. It depresses me! :) I mean, it really doesnt feel much like summer yet, but I did buy some fairly large tomatoe plants, and some peppers, and some lettuce seeds, some herb plants, sweet peas, and cucumbers. I'm anxious to get them planted. I'm doing the same cardboard and straw method I used last year. It worked AWESOME... and I love how clean and fresh the straw makes the garden feel. I laid out the straw last night, so I'm ready to start planting today. :)
Also, I forgot to post about the new Overlay set I released last week!
You can grab "just beachy" here. I started working on this set on the way back from our trip to the Oregon coast, came back with tons of inspiration! :)
I hope your week is off to a great start! :)
