Good morning! These last two weeks have been filled with "to do" lists. I've been really excited to share that I was partnering with One Kings Lane, but my computer dying and working away at the "to do's" has kept me from really finding the time to sit down and share the wonderful news. I did however, get my computer back the night before last, and since then I have been re-installing programs, rearranging furniture, and trying to finish settling into my new studio "space."
I have officially broken the space in over the course of this last week. I finished 51 posters! I didn't think it could be done, but in all honestly I had to start from scratch and cut, sand and stain all of the boards in the week prior... and that is most definitely the time consuming part. Well, that and waiting for each poster to print, because that takes awhile!
The alcove is officially "stocked."
Did you spot the difference in the Feather Patterns poster? The posters for the One Kings Lane event are just over 3' tall. This size will be exclusive to One Kings Lane. Because of the taller size, I had to rework a few of the posters. I also changed the color in the poppy poster... just a tad. It is more of an apricot color for the event. But, back to the feather patterns, this picture below shows the difference in the mini size Feather Patterns and the new version. I actually labeled it as Feather Patterns Vol.5. I love how large the feathers are at these bigger sizes.
The hanging system was Jaydon's idea. I thought it was pretty genius, and made really good use of the space.
It feels really nice to have the posters organized, and it is so easy to see how many I have in stock of each design.
I have the posters ready for the event, and I have another 28 of the regular and mini size ready to ship for my etsy shop. Still quite a bit of space for more stock!
The event starts in less than 10 minutes, and I am sitting here waiting. Super anxious, and a little nervous! One Kings Lane asked me to send a Poppy Poster to their New York Office for the lifestyle photo shoot representing the event. That was pretty exciting.
Some of you may not be familiar with One Kings Lane, as you do have to sign up for the newsletter before you can browse the website. But here is a description for you:
Thank you for continuing on this journey with me. I am so incredibly thankful for each of you. I have had so many supporters from the very beginning, I feel very fortunate for that.
The event just went live! It will end on Wed 2/5/14 at 11 am EST 8 am PST
-Wish me luck you guys!
