From our house- to yours... Happy New Year! Christmas came and went just as quick as ever this year. It was a little less stressful this year than it has been in the past. I think it was partially because I made a concious decision to slow down and take it easy. My etsy shop was pretty constant with orders, but I think I am just finally falling into a system of doing with less stress or thought involved. :)I was able to do most all of my shopping online the beginning of December, we decided to spend less, and that definitely helped.
Trinity wrapped a couple presents she made, all on her own this year.
Journey made at least a dozen gifts. She was very giving, and every day of Christmas break she came up with another person she needed to make something for. It was really sweet.
The reindeer she made Trinity was adorable! :)
I had two tables in my dining room through most of December. The table the school woodshop made out of materials we provided was finished! :) We put it on legs, and I'm really anxious to stain it... but I havent felt up to the undertaking, and I want to make sure I don't ruin it! :) It is really pretty natural, but I'm hoping to get a reclaimed look with boards stained different shades of gray... and the lighter wood unfortunately doesn't match much of anything in our house.
I've wanted to purchase a couple of Holiday themed pillows to pull out during the Holiday season, and finally did that this month. Zazzle was having a 60% off sale, and I just HAD to take advantage. I bought the Oh Holy Night throw pillow... and was so impressed with the printing, the material, and the insert! I also purchased the Coffee First pillow. I wanted to see the difference between the polyester and grade A material/fabric. I'll post my thoughts on that in a later post! :)
